Job Description

The job:

  • Partner with Manila workstream leaders to build impactful teams by introducing and institutionalizing talent practices of Thermo Fisher, driving performance and behavior standards and delivering on local learning and engagement plans. Coach leaders on complex leadership and people issues.
  • Partner with local and global Project Leaders to select, onboard and review new managers and teams until project is established as business as usual.
  • Under Country HR leadership, develop and implement HR strategies either specific to QC site or for wider Thermo Fisher Philippines.
  • Collaborate with wider HR team and site enablement teams (such as IT, L&D and Comms) to deliver positive overall employee experience throughout the lifecycle.

Keys to Success:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent required. Graduate studies, particularly on business courses, will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as lead or senior HR business partner, preferably in a fast-growing shared services organization of a large global enterprise. Experience with large financial outsourcing companies will also be considered.

  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of HR subject areas and ability to apply that knowledge to business situations and challenges.

  • Strong communication, consultation, change leadership and business partnering skills.

  • Able to lead by influence various project teams as needed by the business

  • Demonstrated use of data analytics, critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and enterprise-wide perspective in designing and implementing HR strategies to achieve business objectives.

  • Able to fully maximise a global HR Model to access resources and support needs of the local organization.

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine employment laws and regulations.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

This position requires presence at the office in Bridgetowne, Quezon City. Once fully established in the role, hybrid arrangement may be considered. Work hours will vary from day shift to mid-shift as needed by the business.
