DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Manager of Product Specialists at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) across multiple product lines. You will guide business growth, meet revenue targets, and ensure customer satisfaction through innovative solutions and technical expertise. Working in a collaborative matrix environment, you will partner with sales, marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams to implement commercial strategies and develop market opportunities.
Your leadership will be essential in developing and retaining talent, creating a culture of excellence, and ensuring your team delivers exceptional customer value. You will use data-driven insights to enhance sales processes, maintain robust forecasting, and adapt strategies to meet evolving market demands. As a key leader, you'll support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer while embodying our core values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters Degree plus 12 years of progressive commercial experience in life sciences, analytical instruments, or related industry
- Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific field
- 5 years of people management experience leading teams in a matrix environment
- Deep understanding of scientific workflows, applications, and customer needs in relevant markets
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and guiding business growth
- Strong strategic planning and business acumen with ability to analyze market trends
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and sales operations processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage at all levels
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing successful teams
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships across functions
- Experience implementing commercial strategies and tactical business plans
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Travel up to 50% as required
- Technical expertise in relevant product portfolios and applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and business intelligence tools
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
- Solution-focused with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
