Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you’ll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day – enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

We provide our global teams with the tools, resources and support needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond. From protecting the environment and ensuring food safety to supporting life-saving therapies, our work truly matters.

Ready for the Next Step in Your EHS Career?

If you’re currently working in an EHS role and looking to grow your experience, broaden your exposure and develop within a global organisation, this could be the opportunity for you.

This role is ideal for someone who has a foundation in Environmental Health & Safety and is now ready to take on more responsibility, gain exposure to complex GMP environments, and develop their skills in compliance, training, and continuous improvement — with the support of an experienced EHS Manager and wider network.

It offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise, build confidence, and progress your career within a structured and supportive environment.

About the Role

As an EHS Advisor, you will work closely with the EHS Manager to manage the day-to-day EHS compliance activities across our Fisher Clinical Services sites. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and developing our EHS management systems in line with statutory requirements and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across audits, risk assessments, training coordination, occupational health support, and continuous improvement initiatives — helping to shape a proactive and positive safety culture.

This role combines practical problem-solving with the opportunity to contribute to strategic EHS initiatives, giving you exposure across departments and at divisional level.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing guidance and support on Environmental, Health & Safety matters across the site

  • Assisting in the management of inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance activities

  • Monitoring and reporting on site EHS performance

  • Supporting ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems

  • Managing EHS documentation and recording systems

  • Coordinating and supporting the Risk Assessment Programme

  • Assisting with the Occupational Health Programme

  • Coordinating and delivering EHS training

  • Supporting investigations, corrective actions, change controls, and risk assessments within a cGMP environment

  • Contributing to Practical Process Improvement (PPI) projects to enhance EHS performance

  • Building strong working relationships across departments to continuously improve safety standards

What We’re Looking For

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or working towards or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in an EHS role, ideally within a pharmaceutical or cGMP-regulated environment

  • Working knowledge of EHS legislation

  • Experience supporting audits or engaging with regulatory bodies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence in engaging with colleagues at all levels

  • A proactive mindset and genuine interest in developing your EHS career

Why Join Us?

  • Clear opportunity for development and progression within EHS

  • Exposure to global standards and best practice

  • Supportive leadership and mentoring

  • Experience within a highly regulated GMP environment

  • The opportunity to contribute to work that truly makes a difference

If you’re motivated, eager to learn, and ready to take the next meaningful step in your EHS career, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help us make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
