The Global Materials Planner is part of Global Distribution Requirements Planning Team, and their responsibilities include ensuring the correct finished goods inventory is available in the correct place and at the correct time, whilst optimizing inventory levels with regards to backorders, order cycle time, line-item fill rate and stock write offs.

This should be achieved by:

  • Improved data integrity,
  • solid operating mechanisms,
  • close collaboration with key partners across the organization,
  • focusing on company recognized metrics alongside implementation of practical process improvements (PPI).

Regional aspect of global DRP:

The Regional DRP is key driver and leader for stocking strategy within the assigned region and primary interface for the DRP organization with regional Sales & Operations Planning process to ensure availability of product using balanced cost model. Regional DRP also owns escalation of DRP issues with internal stakeholders.
Primary DRP responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing global movements of inventory based on MRP signal and out with standard process based on business requirements.
  • Ensuring master data is correct and up to date, including planning data, preference data and distribution/ATP infrastructure through NPI involvement and regular maintenance.
  • Resolving DRP execution and set-up issues by working with supply sites and internal customers.
  • Determining stocking strategy and implementing globally for assigned SKUs.
  • Reviewing and managing availability.
  • Developing and analyzing reports pertaining to supply chain area of responsibility.
  • Driving backorder management and prevention through communication with the supply and demand stakeholders.
  • Performing back-orders updates as required, including all relevant information (e.g. root causes) and looking for opportunities to clear backorders through e.g. alternative warehouse, alternative products, direct shipping, and S hold inventory.
  • Managing inventory health by rebalancing inventory to optimize inventory investments and minimize E&O exposure.
  • Managing product lifecycle process to identify products with too much inventory, products approaching expiration, slow moving products to optimize inventory and reduce backorders.
  • Participating in global operating mechanisms to improve supply chain performance, including order cycle time, line-item fill rate, and backorders.
  • Lead team of 2 Contingent workers.
  • Support India/OSA revenue through end-to-end supply and inventory planning.
  • Product availability and order fulfilment to enable revenue growth.
  • Partner with Demand Planning on SIOP to align inventory with Qtrend revenue
  • Commercial hedge strategy to meet Qtrly revenue targets.
  • Manage DOS and E&O inventory in line with finance targets.
  • liquidation initiatives for slow-moving and excess inventory.
  • maintain planning parameters for NPIs
  • Inventory rebalancing to reduce slowing moving
  • Coordinate with Commercial teams on hedge execution and provide regular status updates.
  • Run pull reports for global DCs and place intercompany orders accordingly.
  • Coordinate with Product Management and manufacturing sites on allocations and constraints.
  • Act as the SPOC for APAC-related product availability queries.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's /Masters’s Degree plus 8 to 12 years of experience in materials planning, procurement, or supply chain roles within manufacturing environments

CCP & VAB Planning (PR1)

  • Own end-to-end planning for the CCP/ VAB portfolio within PR1.
  • Lead and monitor the planning team to ensure execution against targets.
  • Coordinate with global manufacturing sites on product availability and follow-ups.
  • Drive commercial hedge strategies to support Qtrly revenue commitments.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial teams on forecasting and inventory alignment.
  • Coordinate with warehouses on inbound shipment planning and execution.

LSG Spares Planning

  • Review spares demand daily and oversee intercompany PO placement with supply sites.
  • Publish and maintain monthly performance metrics for the Service organization.
  • Coordinate with supply sites on allocation and shipment of spares to India.
  • Own monthly KPI reporting, including:LIFR
  • E&O
  • DOS
  • Automatic MRP settings and execution.
  • Coordinate priority (P1) order fulfilment.
