Essential Functions:

  • Manage and strategically perform spend assuring legal, quality, timing and brand image is
    maintained.
  • Champion the use and development of standard procurement practices and procedures and applying strategic sourcing principles.
  • Manage Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) information and place orders, reschedule, and
    expedite accordingly, ensuring maximum cost/quantity/delivery optimization.
  • Provide support for all new product development initiatives.
  • Review, track and manage change orders. Ensure purchase orders and inventory are managed to
    minimize scrap and production downtime.
  • Support outsourced activities such as sourcing, vendor management, contractualization, coordination and monitoring of purchasing inputs and status against order.
  • Maintain purchasing data integrity of system by continuously monitoring purchase and item
    parameters and revision levels.
  • Resolution of invoice discrepancies with the Accounts Payable team.
  • Submission on claims with carriers for damaged incoming shipments.
  • Analyze demand, inventory levels and supplier capabilities to identify, plan and implement inventory reduction plan to reach targeted inventory levels.
  • Establish pro-active plans to prevent undesirable inventory accumulation. Optimize safety stock,
    monitoring Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) stocks.
  • Analyze inventory and monitor supplier costs, quality, delivery, and performance measurements to
    ensure continuous improvement and corrective action as required.
  • Support obsolescence management initiatives by liaising with suppliers, creating reports and
    participating in obsolescence management team activities.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required.
College Diploma in Business or Supply Chain management preferred

Experience:

Minimum 3 years relevant purchasing and inventory management experience in a manufacturing or
pharmaceutical environment.
Certified Production and inventory control Management (CPIM), Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) preferred

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain planning processes including purchasing and inventory management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suites (Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables a must).

Advanced ERP systems:

experiences (Purchasing, Inventory Management Modules) within a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous project/cost tracking experience including fluency in P.C. Applications for budgeting, timeline, and various spreadsheet analyses. Developed analytical and quantitative skills. Knowledge of ▪ ▪ Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Effective negotiation skills and the ability to comprehend new information rapidly. Highly organized with well-developed time-management skills. Ability to assume responsibility and take independent action. Results oriented, metrics driven individual with a root cause, proactive, continuous improvement approach that “owns” the processes.
