Application Support Engineer – Lab Applications

Location: Hyderabad, India

About the Role

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Center of Excellence in Hyderabad and play a vital role in advancing digital laboratory operations. As part of a global IT team, this role supports critical lab systems that ensure data integrity, operational excellence, and compliance across our manufacturing network.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for lab applications, resolving incidents and ensuring system reliability.
• Manage configuration updates, minor enhancements, and system integrations in collaboration with global IT and vendor teams.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable solutions that enhance performance.
• Support upgrades, patching, and validation activities in alignment with GxP requirements.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation, training guides, and best practice materials.
• Strengthen user adoption through training and consistent communication.
• Ensure all support processes uphold data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• 3 years of experience supporting laboratory IT applications such as LIMS, ELN, or CDS.
• Strong knowledge of GxP and validation principles within pharma or biotech environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, analyze issues, and collaborate across global teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
