Join our Finance team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. As an Accountant I, you'll handle financial operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global environment.

DESCRIPTION:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper approval and compliance with company policies
• Review and process employees travel and entertainment expenses.
• Prepare and execute payments (bank transfers, checks, etc.) in accordance with payment terms
• Maintain vendor master data.
• Perform accounts payable reconciliations and monitor outstanding balances
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and AP-related reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and relevant tax regulations
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
• Fixed asset management.
• 401 VAT Claim
• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks assigned by supervisors

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred Fields of Study: Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Experience with accounts payable, FA and VAT claim.

• Proficiency in major ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards) is preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end close processes, and financial controls.

• Problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet strict deadlines

• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is advantageous.
