Registered Nurse (RN) GYN/Antepartum – Full-time

· Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

· The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, and Maternal Level IV designated facility

· Work hours: Full Time Days (6:45AM-7:15PM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements

GYN/Antepartum Department highlights:

· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

· Women’s Services (GYN/Antepartum) 27-bed unit combining GYN, High Risk Antepartum, Breast surgery and Postpartum patients

· Provide care to GYN, post-surgical patients - variety of surgeries to include hysterectomies, breast surgeries; Postpartum (NICU moms), and Antepartum patients (all gestation levels)

Here’s What You Need:

· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Nursing Diploma required

· BSN is preferred

· CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

· One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.

· One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women’s Services RN experience strongly preferred

· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

· Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience is preferred

What You Will Do:

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
