Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partner for a 12-month contract.
The Senior Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partner is a dual role including HR Business Partnering within Germany and supporting other German speaking countries (Austria and Switzerland). They will manage full life-cycle recruitment for Tandem International, partnering with hiring managers and HR leadership to attract and hire high-quality talent across a growing European region. This hybrid role combines Talent Acquisition and Human Resources responsibilities.
In addition to developing hiring plans, sourcing strategies, and diverse talent pipelines, the role acts as an HR business partner, supporting performance management, talent reviews, retention initiatives, onboarding and offboarding, and day-to-day HR operations across Germany.

What your day will look like:Talent Acquisition

Partner with hiring managers across multiple countries to develop a detailed understanding of position criteria and requirements, establish job descriptions, post advertisements, interviews teams, and identify recruiting sources to target qualified candidates to successfully fill each position.

Develop and execute innovative, integrated recruitment solutions using direct sourcing, industry networking, employee referrals, internet sourcing, social networking sites, diversity and college job fairs, and other programs.

Coordinate and manage candidate selection process including screening, scheduling, interviewing, background, and reference checks.

Utilize applicant tracking system to manage all staffing requisitions.

Measure and report on metrics and analyze recruiting results data for all facets of the hiring process, including applicant flow, cost per hire, hire cycle time, recruiting source effectiveness and other analysis as needed.

Manage relationships with temporary staffing vendors, head-hunters, and agencies, including invoicing, employee relations, troubleshooting and strategic workforce planning.

Consult and partner with hiring managers on interviewing techniques and employment practices.

Train hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and how to utilize applicant tracking system to review applicants and identify candidates for interview and selection.

Utilize diversity sourcing techniques to attract diverse and balanced candidate pools for all roles and partners with the business to support diverse and balanced interview panels for every position.

Work with internal and external sources to build Tandem's employment brand and make Tandem the “employer of choice”.

Manage the administrative side of our New Hire Onboarding by working with management and the HR team to continue improvements while maintaining the success of the program.

Human Resources Business Partnering

Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to leaders and employees, providing coaching, guidance, and counsel on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns. Investigate and resolve sensitive employee issues, oversee disciplinary and performance management actions, and ensure consistent application of HR policies, escalating matters as appropriate.

Drive and support key people initiatives including organizational design, workforce and succession planning, talent reviews, skills development, engagement, retention, and DEI initiatives. Partner with leaders to address strategic and operational business challenges through effective HR solutions and continuous process improvement.

Lead and ensure engagement in annual HR cycles such as goal setting, performance reviews, compensation planning, and talent reviews. Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition on staffing needs, interviews, candidate debriefs, and offer creation, while maintaining job descriptions and job leveling in partnership with Compensation.

Provide end-to-end HR operational support across Germany, including onboarding and offboarding, employee documentation, and acting as the local HR representative in interviews.

Partner cross-functionally with HRIS, Benefits, Learning & Development, Finance, and Facilities teams to support employee needs and business objectives. Lead or contribute to cross-functional HR projects, policy administration, compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement of HR processes.

Partner with Total Rewards Manager to submit declaration for accidents/sickness, family allowances, m/paternity leave, etc.

Support local business operations by managing HR-related legal and administrative documentation and may include payroll and works council representation.

- Ability to partner with all levels of leadership to drive recruitment process and fill open positions within specified timelines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and hiring practices.
- High results orientation with ability to advise hiring managers on recruitment trends and market updates.
- Extensive knowledge in creative sourcing strategies including networking, internet, cold calling, employment agencies and job fairs.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications and hands-on familiarity with various recruiting sources and tools. ATS experience with sourcing, tracking and managing candidates required.
- Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday, with an understanding of how data is inputted and extracted from the HRIS.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information to all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
- Familiarity with German employment regulations.
Extra Awesome:
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- Fluent in English and German.
- HR Qualification at degree or professional body level.
- Experience of corporate and/or search firm progressive recruiting experience including sourcing and full life cycle recruiting.
- Experience of Human Resources progressive generalist experience that supports company business objectives.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for Sales positions preferred.
- Demonstrated success in formulating and successfully implementing recruitment strategies that address the current and future needs of an organization.
- Demonstrated experience in talent management: performance management, talent development, talent retention.
- Experience of onboarding HR and Employee Related enquiries.
- Experience with German employment law and works councils.
WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:
Hybrid: This role is hybrid, with a requirement to be present2 days per week in our Frankfurt office.
SPONSORSHIP: Candidates must already be based and eligible to work in Germany. No visa sponsorship or relocation support.
