Credit Controller and Funding Manager (United Kingdom & Ireland)

We are seeking a highly motivated Funding Manager to support the growing UK & Ireland business by driving NHS funding success, strengthening healthcare system relationships, and ensuring a seamless pathway for patient access.

In this pivotal role, you will be the organisational expert on NHS funding, reimbursement, and order-to-cash processes—shaping how healthcare professionals, hospitals, and Integrated Care Boards engage with Tandem to unlock access to life-changing diabetes technology.

What You’ll Do

Funding Pathway Leadership

• Serve as the subject matter expert on NHS funding requirements for insulin pump therapy across the UK & Ireland.

• Build and nurture strong relationships with NHS England funding bodies,Integrated Care Boards, hospital finance teams, and key stakeholders.

• Spend approximately 20% of your time in face-to-face meetings to resolve issues, influence funding processes, and improve ordering pathways.

• Monitor and interpret changes in NHS policy and local funding criteria, aligning internal processes accordingly.

Process Development & Optimisation

• Design, implement, and continuously improve processes that streamline patient funding applications, approvals, and pump supply.

• Develop clear documentation, tools, and guides to support internal teams and healthcare professionals.

• Partner with Customer Service, Finance, and Market Access to ensure seamless execution from approval to supply of pumps and consumables.

Purchase Order & Financial Workflow Management

• Lead proactive Purchase Order (PO) attainment from NHS organisations to maintain an uninterrupted supply.

• Establish robust KPIs and reporting mechanisms for approval timelines, PO attainment, and order fulfilment.

• Collaborate with Finance to reconcile funding streams, support payment collections, and reduce aged debt.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

• Provide training to internal teams on NHS pathways and reimbursement processes.

• Support healthcare professionals and patients with funding queries to deliver a first-class customer experience.

• Represent Tandem Diabetes Care in funding discussions and strategic interactions with NHS organisations.

You're Awesome At:

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of the UK healthcare landscape, particularly NHS technology funding pathways.

• Experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or NHS contracting.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement efficient operational processes.

• Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience with order-to-cash processes, financial operations, or PO management.

• Background in diabetes care, medical devices, or insulin pump services is highly desirable.
