Supabase is on a mission to build the world’s best open-source backend platform for developers. We are looking for a Head of Data Intelligence to lead our exponential growth into the next chapter.
This role is an unprecedented opportunity to have an immense impact. You will raise the data IQ of the entire organization, enabling teams to make data-informed decisions that improve the products we ship to developers every day. You'll inject data throughout all business processes—from strategic planning and prioritization to execution and measurement of success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Build & Lead the Team: You will build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of analysts to deliver insights on user behavior, platform usage, and business success.

Own the Data Strategy: As the owner of our end-to-end data strategy, you will help scale analytics at Supabase—uncovering and sharing critical insights that will shape our roadmap and the future of our company.

Drive Cross-Functional Impact: Partner cross-functionally with leaders from Engineering, Growth, and Go-to-Market teams to scale our data infrastructure, develop analytical frameworks, and grow tools that enable data-driven decisions.

Operationalize Metrics: Ensure every business area has health metrics to track, insights that inform strategy, and success dashboards that inform development.

Champion Data Culture: Build a data-centric culture and act as an internal champion for analytics and data literacy throughout the organization.

Solve Complex Problems: Turn loosely defined problems into practical analyses and actionable insights.

Unlock Growth Opportunities: Identify opportunities to drive increased customer conversion, retention, engagement, and lifetime value through both data and a deep qualitative understanding of our customers.

Ensure Data Integrity: Implement best-in-class analytical frameworks and testing structures across the entire organization to ensure that data insights are always accurate.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

8+ Years of Analytical Excellence: You have a deep history in highly analytical roles, ideally within SaaS, developer tools, or infrastructure companies.

Proven Leadership: 3+ years of experience as a leader managing teams, with a strong track record of developing, motivating, and inspiring analytical talent.

Bias for Action: You are a demonstrated self-starter and incredible prioritizer who moves fast, takes ownership of projects, and drives them to completion without much guidance.

Strategic Problem Solving: You possess a high degree of experience translating broad, abstract questions into structured analysis and actionable solutions.

Communication Superpowers: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to distill complex analytical solutions into actionable insights for the broader team.

Organizational Growth: Experience scaling a data-driven team by hiring exceptional talent and maturing a data organization—from data instrumentation to dashboarding, insight discovery, and experimentation.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in SQL, a strong understanding of data warehouse principles, and experience with BI tools (Hex, Tableau).

Modern Stack Experience: Experience with best-in-class analytics tech stacks, including Post Hog, Segment, Big Query, dbt, and Hex.
