Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a highly curious, technical-minded individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR) based in EMEA region. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving problems, understands (or wants to understand) developer tools and infrastructure, and wants to build a long-term career at the intersection of sales and engineering.

You’ll do more than just qualify leads. At Supabase, BDRs often help customers shape their technical architecture and identify how Supabase can help them move faster. This means you’ll have impact from day one and opportunities to grow across functions like Sales Engineering, Support, or Customer Success as we scale.

You Will:

  • Drive top-of-funnel activity for our Commercial and Enterprise teams

  • Partner with AEs to run qualification and technical discovery

  • Reach out to developer-first startups and identify decision-makers

  • Help customers understand how Supabase fits into their existing architecture

  • Grow your technical and commercial skills through mentorship and real-world experience

We’re Looking For:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong technical curiosity

  • A natural problem-solver who learns quickly and adapts fast

  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • A proactive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Interest in developer tools, databases, or open source

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a technical bootcamp, side projects, or previous BDR role

  • Familiarity with SQL, Postgres, or REST APIs

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Fully Remote

We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a We Work membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.

  • ESOP

Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.

  • Tech Allowance

Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.

  • Health Benefits

Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.

  • Annual Off-Sites

Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.

  • Flexible Work

We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.

  • Professional Development

Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.

  • 180+ team members

  • 40+ countries

  • 15+ languages spoken

  • $496M raised

  • 430,000+ community members

  • 30,000+ memes posted (and counting)

We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.

HIRING PROCESS

We keep things simple, async-friendly, and respectful of your time:

  1. Apply – Our team will review your application.

  2. Intro Call – A short video chat to get to know each other.

  3. Interviews – Up to four calls with:

  • Founders

  • Future teammates

  • Someone cross-functional from product, growth, or engineering (depending on the role)

  1. Decision – We may follow up with a final question or go straight to offer.

All communication is remote and we aim to move fast.

Love Supabase, but the $25/mo pricing tier killed my side projects. My migration path to self-hosted SQLite.

I have been a huge fan of Supabase for years. The Developer Experience (DX) is incredible, and I default to it for almost everything. But recently, I hit a wall with my portfolio of small apps. Once I passed the free tier limits on two projects (mostly storage and database egress), the bill jumpe

Supabase vs Convex vs Neon

I know this appeared in multiple threads in the past but I would like to ask for latest state as things move so fast and also specifically on my situation for my NextJs app. I started a MVP with Supabase. Did a bunch of development, features experiments and the tables and schema grew messy. Before

If you're using Supabase without knowing how to answer "what if I lose my database" - please read this

**Disclaimer**: I have no affiliation with Supabase and this is not a sponsored post. Just a long time user sharing what I know. I've been a developer for about 14 years now and have shipped quite a few apps and services. I'm also a big Supabase fan and use it heavily in my projects. Lately I've b
