Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

As a platform company powering businesses all over the world, Stripe processes payments, runs marketplaces, detects fraud, helps entrepreneurs start an internet business from anywhere in the world, builds world-class APIs, and more. As we aspire to be the world's financial infrastructure, we have to internally create a finance infrastructure that can scale to our aspirations.

The Fin Sys team builds the financial infrastructure that enables Stripe to make data driven decisions while operating with the rigor of a public company - improving financial decision making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational efficiency through automation. The Finsys Business insights team is responsible for building products that help Stripe make better financial decisions.

What you’ll do

As the Product Manager for the Finsys team, you will be a driving force behind the creation and development of our Financial Business Insights products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth market research to identify unmet customer needs and emerging market trends

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data science, finance, accounting etc.

  • Defining and executing product roadmaps, including setting priorities, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery of new features and functionality.

  • Continuously gathering customer feedback, analyzing performance data, and iterating on product designs to optimize the user experience and drive impact.

  • Championing the product vision and garnering buy-in from key stakeholders, including executive leadership.

  • Developing and executing roll out strategies to ensure successful product launches and ongoing customer adoption.

  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges throughout the product development process.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a focus on new product development and incubation.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take on ambiguous, high-impact projects.

Preferred requirements

  • Experience in the business insights and data analysis tools and platforms

  • Experience with iterative hypothesis-driven product development and experimentation

  • Taking an ownership mindset and working on whatever it takes to solve problems and delight users

  • Experience aligning a broad set of senior stakeholders via strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A track record of successfully launching new products or features that have driven significant business impact.

  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and trends that could shape the future of the payments industry.

  • Ability to thrive with significant autonomy and responsibility
