ABOUT STRAVA

Strava is the app for active people. With over 180 million athletes in more than 185 countries, it’s more than tracking workouts—it’s where people make progress together, from new habits to new personal bests. No matter your sport or how you track it, Strava’s got you covered. Find your crew, crush your goals, and make every effort count. Start your journey https://www.strava.com/subscription with Strava today.

Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward.

Strava is looking for a Senior Product Manager for our Maps tab and routing experience. You will be key in shaping the future of how athletes on Strava explore our maps and discover routes for their activities.

We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our Berlin office — three days per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Define and own the product strategy for Strava’s map platform including map data and map rendering systems

  • Partner closely with engineering leaders, geospatial engineers and cartographers to translate user needs and technical capabilities into clear product roadmap and a prioritized, incremental execution plan.

  • Lead discovery and prioritization for platform investments and balance user impact with reliability, scalability and cost.

  • Accelerate execution velocity by introducing incremental delivery, measurable milestones, and clear decision frameworks.

  • Act as a stabilizing and motivating force for the team by reducing ambiguity, clarifying priorities and fostering confidence in your product strategy.

  • Champion a culture of ambitious yet pragmatic experimentation, helping teams move faster without compromising engineering rigor.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • 6+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years working on mapping, geospatial, platform infrastructure or real time location based products.

  • Exceptional execution discipline with a history of delivering high quality features at speed in XFN and multi-team environments.

  • Proven track record of defining and delivering product roadmaps with significant scale and complexity.

  • Experience working with geospatial data and systems (e.g., maps, routing, geocoding, spatial analytics, location services) in domains such as consumer tech, logistics, mobility, gaming, autonomous systems, or environmental data.

  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage deeply with engineers on architecture, data pipelines, APIs, and performance tradeoffs.

  • Expertise in a hypothesis-driven, iterative approach to product development, including extensive experience with A/B testing and other validation methods.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to frame problems and develop effective solutions.

  • Ability to balance long-term platform investments with short-term user and business impact.

  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with the ability to prioritize rigorously and keep teams focused on delivering value.

  • Background in software engineering or data systems, or an advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Geospatial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
