The Data Intelligence – Web Scraping Data Analyst will be part of a global team that is focused on executing the growth plan and achieving State Street’s data strategy. You will be part of a global team that is focused on developing new relationships with both current clients and prospects by providing new innovative data products and unique insights. An outgoing personality, entrepreneurial mind set, and comfort in learning new technologies is critical to success in this role.

Developers daily economic indicators using online price data. We specialize in combining technology and economics to innovate the way inflation is measured. Our work is grounded on the research conducted by the Billion Prices Project at MIT and Harvard University. The candidate will be a talented and smart individual who will develop and maintain our web scraping and data analysis operations. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented and focused on high quality.

What you will be responsible for

• Maintenance of existing web scraping processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality data.
• Development of new scraping processes to gather data from web sites identified by our extended team.
• Monitoring of scraping processes for assigned geographic locations.
• Collaboration with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshooting issues and analysis of root causes for problems.
• Transform unstructured data to load into the data warehouse
• Examine collected data to assess characteristics and data quality
• Ability to investigate discrepancies in data using SQL
• Identify root causes for data problems and report findings
• Develop, evaluate and test resolutions

Education & Preferred Skills

• Current student or recent graduate with a degree in computer science or information technology (or similar) or equivalent experience
• Experience working with web technologies. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML, XPATH, etc.
• Experience with SQL databases and software programming tools, techniques, and methodologies (particularly, but not limited to, T-SQL)
• Knowledge of one or more leading programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C++) is advantageous
• Great communicator with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Independent thinker and problem solver with good attention to detail
• Service-oriented with a passion for quality
• An experience in web development and web scraping (text processing, Unicode, regular expressions) will be preferred

**Minimum Salary:**​

zł68,004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
