Role Summary

The Vice President, Corporate Finance Technical Lead is a senior technology leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing modernization of State Street’s Corporate Finance application landscape. This role partners closely with Corporate Finance leadership to enable financial operations, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision‑making through resilient, secure, and scalable technology platforms.

The role serves as the primary technical authority for Finance systems, leading global teams and vendor partners while aligning delivery with State Street’s enterprise architecture, security, and cloud transformation standards. The VP is accountable for both business outcomes and technical excellence across a complex, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Own and execute the technology strategy for Corporate Finance platforms, ensuring alignment with Finance priorities and enterprise standards.

  • Act as the senior technology partner to Finance stakeholders across Controllership and FP&A.

  • Define multi‑year roadmaps supporting Finance transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption and platform modernization.

Platform Ownership & Delivery

  • Provide executive oversight for Corporate Finance systems, including Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, data platforms (Oracle and SQL Server warehouses), Essbase, and custom Java applications.

  • Lead large‑scale transformations such as migrations from legacy platforms to Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle EPM Cloud.

  • Ensure delivery of stable, secure, and compliant solutions in a highly regulated financial services environment.

Architecture, Cloud, and Engineering Excellence

  • Partner with Architecture and Security teams to define target‑state architectures and approved cloud landing zones for Finance applications.

  • Drive adoption of DevOps and CI/CD practices to improve deployment reliability and time‑to‑market.

  • Ensure adherence to information security, risk, and data classification standards across all Finance technology platforms.

Global Team & Vendor Leadership

  • Lead and develop geographically distributed teams across the US, India, and other global hubs.

  • Manage strategic vendor and system‑integrator relationships supporting Finance delivery and transformation initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology delivery, with significant focus on Finance systems.

  • Demonstrated leadership at a senior manager or executive level, leading global teams and complex delivery portfolios.

  • Deep hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP (E‑Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud) and Enterprise Performance Management platforms (ARCS, FCC, EPBCS, EDM).

  • Strong understanding of Corporate Finance domains, including General Ledger, Financial Close, Planning, and Consolidations.

  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders and translate Finance strategy into executable technology solutions.

  • Experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database skillset including data modelling, performance tuning, indexing strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading Finance cloud migrations in a global financial institution.

  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions supporting Finance reporting.

  • Prior experience working within regulated environments with strong security and risk controls.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $207,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
