State Street’s is making a multi-year strategic investment in the Alternatives Product organization is looking for a product owner with experience in Alternatives to support the development of new products for clients. The product offer includes Alternative middle and back-office fund administration, and transfer agency. The individual plays a key role in helping with the execution and roll-out of our product development program, and will work across our client facing, product, global delivery (operations), technology and Alpha teams. This role will have a voice in our overall Alternatives product design and capabilities, and in helping to strengthen State Street’s position in the industry.

As part of our Product Development team, the role will help to create our development plans, manage development programs, coordinate requirements gathering, translating and participating in the agile development process, testing and roll-out of capabilities. The product and capabilities development work are expected to align with increasing our market share, closing product gaps to support client retention, client growth, and enhancing client experience.

The successful candidate must be highly organized, possess strong analytic skills, ability to operate independently, good communication skills and an ability to move seamlessly between competing client priorities & complex requirements. The role will include executing development work for clients’ specific implementations and as part of the broader Alts offering with all clients.

The role requires willingness to learn, collaborate across different operational and technology teams, perform analysis, create business requirements (epics and stories) and operate as a product owner within an agile development process. Experience with Alternative Investments and asset servicing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Development Programs as Product Owner: Responsible for the day-to-day activities to execute specified development programs, collaborating with client-facing teams, product teams, global delivery (operations) teams, and technology teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Create and Manage Project Development Plans: Create and manage detailed development plans & roadmap, coordinating requirements gathering, translating requirements into actionable tasks, and participating in the agile development process.
  • Manage key stakeholders and maintain complete and accurate reporting.
  • Testing and Roll-Out: Lead the testing and roll-out of new capabilities, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and ensuring seamless execution across all initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Sign off for Production release – may include weekend

Skills

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of asset servicing products and operational background or experience
  • Subject matter knowledge across Alternatives Investments a plus
  • Highly organized, strong analytic skills, ability to operate independently and to move seamlessly between multiple projects/implementations with changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral.
  • Demonstrate strong project management and process transformation skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, balance multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to facilitate project working groups, strong data gathering skills and requirements writing (epics and stories).
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and successfully navigate changes in requirements / client feedback

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment operations, project management, client implementation and/or business analysis.
  • Knowledge of products and processes related to the financial services industry would be an advantage
  • Experience with business analysis in an agile environment is strongly preferred
  • Investor Relations or Private Credit operations experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in using JIRA, Confluence is an advantage

Minimum Salary:​

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
