About the Role

The QA team is part of Charles River Development (CRD), a State Street company, delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions across CRD and CRPM platforms. The team plays a critical role in ensuring product stability, performance, and automation scalability through hands‑on testing and continuous quality improvements.

Who We Are Looking For

An experienced **Automation Engineer (Officer level)**who will function as a hands‑on individual contributor, responsible for both manual and automation testing. This is an execution‑focused role requiring strong ownership of test design, automation development, and end‑to‑end quality validation across releases.

Why This Role Is Important

This role strengthens hands‑on execution capacity across manual and automated validation, improving test coverage and release readiness while supporting consistent delivery quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for UI and API layers

  • Perform hands‑on manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing

  • Enhance and maintain automation frameworks with focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability

  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create effective test scenarios

  • Execute automation as part of CI/CD pipelines and monitor test results

  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers during sprint execution

  • Support release readiness, regression cycles, and production issue analysis as required

  • Ensure adherence to CRD QA standards, processes, and best practices

What We Value

Execution focus, ownership, strong communication, and collaboration within Agile delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software QA with strong emphasis on test automation

  • Proven experience as a hands‑on individual contributor (not a people‑management role)

  • Strong expertise in UI and API automation (e.g., Selenium, Rest Assured, or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of test frameworks (e.g., TestNG, Cucumber, BDD‑style frameworks)

  • Proficiency in Java

  • Strong manual testing fundamentals and test design methodologies

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution

  • Ability to write SQL queries for validation and perform strong defect analysis

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to performance testing concepts and tools

  • Experience testing complex enterprise platforms (financial systems preferred)

  • Experience with Jira and test management practices
