The role contributes directly to the ongoing evolution of State Street’s global fund accounting and fund administration capabilities through strong analytical judgment, hands‑on execution leadership, and effective stakeholder engagement.

The role operates in a global context, supporting product development and delivery across multiple platforms, asset classes, and jurisdictions, and requires close collaboration across time zones.

Function

The Vice President supports Fund Services Product Development leadership by driving execution across defined FAA initiatives and capability enhancements. Working in close partnership with business, operations, and technology stakeholders, the role ensures that product requirements are clearly articulated, delivery plans are practical, and outcomes meet client, operational, and regulatory expectations.

  • Support development and maintenance of product roadmaps, epics, and backlogs aligned to strategic priorities

  • Apply professional judgment to identify dependencies, tradeoffs, and delivery risks, escalating issues as appropriate

  • Contribute to discussions on FAA operating models and technology architecture, with a focus on simplification, standardization, and scalability

  • Support evaluation of build versus buy decisions and opportunities to rationalize existing technology platforms

  • Partner with stakeholders across service disciplines to enable consistency and integration of product capabilities

  • Provide guidance and direction to delivery teams/product resources to support effective execution and capability development

  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and local market considerations impacting assigned initiatives

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting, including accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP), NAV construction, general ledger processing, and complex asset classes (e.g., derivatives, loans)

  • Working knowledge of fund administration functions downstream from accounting records, including financial and regulatory reporting, tax administration, and investment compliance

  • Proven ability to manage complex deliverables across multiple initiatives and competing priorities

  • Ability to apply business, operational, and system knowledge to inform product and delivery decisions

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate recommendations and influence stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Experience contributing to high‑quality product, requirements, and solution documentation

  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, including collaboration with Product Owners, story definition, and backlog management

  • Ability to operate effectively in global, matrixed environments

  • Strong analytical skills and sound professional judgment

  • Exposure to adoption of AI within the Product Development Lifecycle is preferred

Experience

  • 10–15 years’ experience in Securities Services or related financial services businesses
