About Business Line

Currency is one of the key asset classes after Equity, Fixed Income, Multi assets and Cash. Currency Portfolio is managed by FORESite application which is portfolio construction tool to setup the Currency portfolio and create the currency trade considering the Currency Hedging, Currency Models, Benchmark, Performance and Cash Flow. Currency Portfolio Managers, Operations and Benchmark team use this application as a front office application. This application helps to construct spot trade, forward trade, roll trade and rebalance, then submit to Trade Management System and updates tracking the trade status, generates performance report to client and internal business entities.

Key Responsibilities & Experience Range

The ideal candidate will be:

• Techno Functional Lead should own the end-to-end functional & technical components of the application.
• Stakeholder Management, IT communications to Business, Functional Discussions with Business, Release planning, Design, Development and Delivery of the applications.
• End-to-End Development in Java, Javascript framework and Oracle db.
• Engage the team members regular & contract resources to deliver as per the business priorities and review their tasks to meet the quality standards
• Upgrade technical components as needed and leverage the copilot usage for the efficiency and quality of the code
• Cloud migration
• Handle the middleware component deployments in Cloud Linux environment
• Provide technical support in analyzing production issues L3/L4 to ensure the uninterrupted services to the business.
• Effective collaboration with the Boston, Business counterparts and other application teams

Skills & Knowledge

Qualification & Certifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development
• Good Problem solving & analytical skills.
• Good communication skills
• BE or any equivalent educational qualification in Computer Science background.

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Proven strong programming experience in Java Technologies and Javascript frameworks, preferably working on low latency, high throughput, globally distributed systems.
• Solid experience in Asset Management industry in Portfolio Construction applications
• Good exposure to Foreign Exchange assets / trading
• Technical Expertise in Spring framework, Javascript framework, AWS cloud environment
• Experience in using copilots for the efficiency in the development
• Development and build tools (GIT, Jenkins, Maven, etc.)

Secondary Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience in RDBMS database

USP of the Role

• Good exposure to the Currency asset class domain and business stakeholders
• Work closely with technical architect in building next gen portfolio construction system
• Cloud migration with high performing enterprise application and cost efficient
