If you enjoy building modern cloud services, working with the latest LLM and agent technologies, and solving real problems for real users, you’ll find a lot to get excited about here.
We are hiring Experienced Software Engineers(AWS/Java/Spring) to build scalable, reliable backend services that power our digital auto insurance quoting and servicing workflows. You will manage dependencies with Maven or Gradle, develop secure REST APIs, and contribute to DevOps automation using AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data teams to deliver best-in-class digital experiences that support customer acquisition and retention. This role is aligned with our Digital Technology team.

Some Responsibilities May Include:

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Framework that support digital auto insurance workflows
  • Develop and document secure, scalable REST APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications and external systems
  • Manage project dependencies and builds using Maven or Gradle
  • Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD or related tools, and deploy applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, ECS/Fargate, EC2, S3) and Red Hat Openshift
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing, code reviews, and adherence to clean coding and security standards
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, reliability, and security in production environments

Qualifications

We Are Seeking Candidates With:

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework with experience designing, building, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications

  • Hands-on experience with dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle

  • Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs following best practices for security and scalability

  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including AWS cloud services and GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD pipelines

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and ECS/Fargate is a plus

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, clean code principles, automated testing (unit/integration), and version control (Git)

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience building customer-facing or partner facing digital tools, ideally in the insurance or financial services domain, is preferred but not required

  • Additional Skills

  • Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular, React, Next.js or generally JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Familiarity with security best practices related to cloud and API development

  • Proven experience delivering production services on AWS (fintech or payments experience is a strong plus)

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
