The Job:

As a Tax & General Accountant you’ll be part of our team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:

  • Perform journal entries, accruals and accrual reversals
  • Calculate the monthly Mexican Commuter Tax
  • Draft and calculate Monthly Mexican VAT (IVA)
  • Review of the IMSS worker-employer fee schedule.
  • Review of the document for the Determination of Contribution Fees and Amortizations of the Infonavit-Retiro-Cesantía and Old Age and application and sending of bimonthly variables.
  • Preparation and payment of Federal and State taxes. Preparation and submission of Informative Declarations of Operations with Third Parties (DIOT).
  • Assistance to Customs in Monthly Statistical Report.
  • Compensations and VAT Refunds determined monthly.
  • Annual declarations of ISR, VAT, Salaries and Salaries, Risk Premium, Annual Economic Report (INEGI)
  • Attend and surrender information and documentation as required by the SAT, State, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and other government agencies.
  • Preparation and Submission of the T-Schedule to Corporate Tax.
  • Preparation and Submission of the Quarterly ETR Forecast to Corporate Tax.
  • Aid and provision of supporting documentation surrounding the Annual Tax Return to our Accounting Firm.
  • Aid and provision supporting documentation surrounding the Monthly Provisional Tax Return to our Accounting Firm.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and surrender Annual Property Value Request to Corporate Tax.
  • Aid and surrender reporting documentation for the Annual Actuarial Study.
  • Perform journal entries as required in accordance to the monthly checklist.
  • Perform ad hoc journal entries.
  • Prepare and surrender on a Quarterly basis the Open Bank Guarantees to Corporate Tax.
  • Prepare and surrender on a Annual basis the Registro Nacional de Inversiones Extranjeros (RNIE).
  • Provide supporting documentation and reports for the INEGI government institution to our Customs department.
  • Carry the due diligence of applying Payroll Tax stimulus to the State of Sonora government agency.
  • Provide and assist in the submission of the supporting documentation for the Social Security Opinion to our Third Party contracted Auditor.
  • Prepare and submit the information for the Quarterly Pretax Forecast to Corporate Tax.
  • Act as validator of Outside Vendors for REPSE, enacting the last resort role for Vendor regulatory compliance before the Tax Authorities.

  • Public Accountant Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in General Accounting and Mexican Taxes
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Excel skills
  • Written and spoken Intermediate to Advance level English proficiency
