The Job:

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch products that align with market demands and Stanley black and Decker’s strategy. This role requires a blend of technical leadership to transform ideas into successful commercial solutions.

You'll Get To:

• Partnering with global product managers to identify technical solutions, plan resource and project timeline for new product development.
• Create and influence technical product strategy and roadmaps for assigned category or portfolio.
• Set target deliverables, review status, hold the team accountable and help remove roadblocks.
• Drive teams to deliver complex and/or multiple/concurrent projects of an increasing degree of technical complexity and challenges in order to meet business goals.
• Monitor and make recommendations on engineering resource planning for short and long-term projects.
• Identify ongoing training requirements, and ensure entire department fulfills expectations.
• Drive local talent development to include performance management, individual and team development, and high engagement across teams.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated and recognized expertise in technical discipline or process in power tool field or similar industry
• Proven ability to professionally present information and translate technical knowledge to a variety of audiences.
• Proven leadership skills, with ability to motivate, empower and drive engagement.
• Experience successfully communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization both locally and globally
• Demonstrated business acumen including accounting, finance, business planning and risk management

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.

MBA or PMP a plus:

• 10+ years’ experience of power tools or similar industry in new product development field.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement is required.
• Fluent Oral English is a must.
