The role:

So Fi Bank is integrating a new crypto product line with its core operations to offer comprehensive services. These services include crypto trading, clearing, transfers, and custody, complemented by traditional banking functions like fiat on- and off-ramps, payments, settlement, and liquidity management. A central element of this strategy is the launch and distribution of So FiUSD, a So Fi-issued stablecoin designed to streamline payments, disbursements, and value transfer for both retail and commercial clients. These crypto and payments services will leverage the technology provided by both So Fi Bank and Galileo, with Galileo supplying essential payment and banking technology, including debit processing.

The Senior Crypto Banking Operations Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for managing this product line focusing on deposits & withdrawals of crypto, direct fiat fund flows, treasury execution of So Fi USD, and treasury management of So Fi crypto balances, including:

  • Payment Operations - crypto deposits, withdrawals & custody

  • Develop Payment Operations - fiat deposits & withdrawals

Member Operations Tooling:

  • Executing manual account-level operations for Fraud, AML & Member services

  • Aid in the development of automation for critical processes

  • Promo Operations - provide support for promotions and rewards design and execution

  • Treasury Operations - managing Corporate inventory of crypto assets such as gas funding & stablecoin balances (including minting & burning). Managing available funds to process withdrawals.

  • Process documentation, audit, and controls management

  • Security and Risk controls

The Senior Crypto Banking Operations Manager will need to work in coordination with functional partners in areas such as engineering & product, finance, legal, operations, security, compliance, and risk management. The Senior Crypto Banking Operations Manager will also have the opportunity to shape the banking operations workflow and feature roadmap. This role will report to the Senior Director of Invest, also working closely with the Bank’s Head of Crypto. This role is a great fit for someone who brings deep experience in the crypto banking industry, an ability to integrate all of the disciplines necessary to run a successful and compliant operations business, and a desire to create something new.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the “build” process to pilot and general launch stages for new product features, working closely with partners in engineering, operations, treasury, compliance and risk, legal, and other relevant functions. Design and document operating procedures for standard work and manual work for limited automated tooling.

  • After launch, lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of multi asset deposit & withdrawals, & stablecoin businesses, with accountability for operational excellence, and adherence to regulatory compliance and risk parameters, including reconciliations, crypto treasury, etc.

  • Design and drive development of necessary tools for further efficiency of any manual or high risk processes to drive regulatory compliance, best in class practices and safeguarding of member assets, working with product, engineering, compliance, data.

  • Assist other Operations teams to design and execute manual processes where tooling does not exist e.g. Fraud, AML, Member Services.

What you’ll need:

  • Deep subject matter expertise in crypto transfers, banking operations, and the broader crypto “ecosystem.”

  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial services, and at 5+ years in the fintech operations sector.

  • Demonstrated success overseeing a financial operations-related line of business or service line.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Entrepreneurial instincts.

  • A clear commitment to operating to the letter and spirit of regulatory and risk parameters.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

Nice to have:

  • Experience building new product processes from the “ground up.”

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.

US-Based Base Compensation**$121,600—$209,000 USD**
