About the role:
As a Key Account Leader, Mid-City at Skydio, you will be a primary driver of landing and expanding our business into public safety agencies. You will prospect into your target agencies and build a strong understanding of their objectives and pain points to effectively demonstrate and deploy Skydio technology with them at scale. You will navigate complex organizational structures to deliver value to the customer working across teams internally and externally. This is a unique opportunity to join and shape a fast-growing sales team and accelerate the growth of Skydio and the commercial UAV industry as a whole.
Location: Must be based in the South Atlantic region (Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, or Florida)
How you’ll make an impact:

Identify new business development opportunities and grow them into stable customers from pre solicitation through post contract award

Prepare and update account strategy and sales forecast to show continued penetration, upsell, and expansion opportunities
-
Create a strategic plan to identify, engage and create opportunities with high propensity accounts
-
Build a pipeline to meet and exceed your sales targets with direct accountability on a quarterly and annual basis
-
Develop a deep understanding of your customer’s business, workflows and pain points
-
Focus on customer satisfaction and develop a proper contact network within accounts
-
Coordinate with sales operations and customer success team to ensure customer milestones are met
-
Gather and share competitive intelligence on competitor activity with marketing
-
Share key customer insights and product needs with product management
What would make you a good fit:
-
8+ years of successful enterprise software, hardware, or SaaS sales experience
-
Ability to travel at least 50% of time
-
Knowledge of State and Local Government agencies, standards, guidelines, policies, and technology initiatives
-
A history of successfully managing and closing complex deals through all phases of the deal cycle with SLED customers
-
Cross-functional team player with experience collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Business Development, and Sales Engineering teams
-
Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities
-
Familiarity with the MEDDIC sales qualification methodology
-
Experience using Salesforce, Google Suite, BGov, and Gov Win
Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000- $151,250. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan. This position and all associated benefits are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as the Company’s policies and eligibility criteria.

Autonomous tracking with my Skydio 2+
I have yet to see another drone that has the same type of tracking ability. The kicker is that it also has 6 other cameras on it and it's constantly scanning its surroundings for obstacles, so you don't need to worry about it running into trees/houses/ect. Its obstacle avoidance ability is second
