Operations Improvement Strategy & Project Lead - Operations Excellence (SPX)

We are looking for a highly analytical, strategic, and execution-driven leader to drive large-scale operational transformation initiatives across SPX. This role sits at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, and Project Management, serving as a key partner to senior leadership in identifying opportunities, solving complex business challenges, and delivering high-impact initiatives that improve network performance, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer experience.

You will lead cross-functional projects from strategy formulation through execution, working closely with Operations, Product, Data, Finance, and Commercial teams to shape the future of our logistics network

Responsibilities

• Drive high-impact initiatives focused on improving network performance, operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality across SPX operations.
• Create comprehensive project roadmaps, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, risk mitigation plans, and success metrics.
• Lead project kick-offs, define governance structures, clarify stakeholder responsibilities, and ensure effective execution through structured project management methodologies.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses across First Mile, Last Mile, Sorting Centers, and Linehaul operations to identify performance gaps, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
• Design and implement process optimization initiatives to improve productivity, resource utilization, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
• Utilize data analytics and business insights to evaluate operational performance, quantify opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
• Assess transportation routes, network capacity, service coverage, and operational workflows to improve cost efficiency and service reliability.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, BI, Product, Finance, and other business functions to align initiatives with company priorities and ensure successful execution.
• Develop KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance tracking mechanisms to monitor project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide regular executive updates, business cases, project progress reports, key insights, and actionable recommendations to senior management and leadership teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, and change management preferably in logistics or transportation management
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive informed decision-making
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially in PowerPoint (or Google Presentations)
