Corporate Communications, Senior Associate - Singapore Marketing

The Corporate Communications team in Singapore is responsible for managing our external reputation and internal messaging across media, partners, and stakeholders. Working closely with regional teams and cross-functional partners, the team ensures messaging consistency, drives proactive storytelling, and supports risk assessment and issue management.

This role requires a strong understanding of Singapore’s media and logistics industry with the ability to translate business priorities into clear, effective communications strategies. As an individual contributor, you will take ownership of key workstreams while contributing to broader regional narratives and alignment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications plans to build and safeguard Shopee's reputation in Singapore, with clear alignment to business priorities
• Adapt and localise regional narratives, campaigns, and messaging frameworks
• Draft and refine high-quality communications materials, including press releases, media responses, key messages, FAQs, and executive talking points
• Ensure communications outputs are accurate, clear, and aligned with brand positioning and regulatory considerations
• Support media engagement efforts by maintaining working relationships with key journalists and responding to media queries in a timely and structured manner
• Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry developments to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for proactive storytelling
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial, and regional teams to ensure messaging consistency and executional alignment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Journalism, preferably within tech, e-commerce, or logistics sectors
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex operational details into clear external messaging
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams and levels
