Strategic Seller Acquisition & Onboarding, Shopee (Philippines)

We are looking for a results-driven Vendor Acquisition Senior Executive/Manager to lead the sourcing, onboarding, and growth of retail vendor partners on our platform. This role owns the full acquisition funnel — from lead generation and pitching to contract closure and onboarding — with a focus on expanding supply across wet markets, pharmacies, convenience stores, and other neighborhood retail categories in key Philippine cities. Candidates with prior vendor/merchant acquisition experience are highly valued but not a must.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new retail vendor partners — from wet markets, pharmacies, convenience stores, and other neighborhood retailers — to grow platform supply in assigned territories.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline of prospective vendors through cold outreach, on-ground visits, referrals, and territory mapping.
• Pitch platform value proposition, negotiate commercial terms (commission rates, contracts), and close partnership deals with vendor owners.
• Manage end-to-end onboarding — documentation, catalog/SKU setup, system integration, and go-live coordination.
• Track and report on acquisition KPIs; conduct market and competitor analysis to identify underserved areas and growth opportunities
• Build strong relationships with vendor owners to support long-term retention.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in vendor/merchant acquisition or field sales, ideally within e-commerce, on-demand delivery, or retail/FMCG distribution.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding vendor sign-up and activation targets.
• Strong negotiation, pitching, and relationship-management skills.
• Comfortable with field sales work and regular vendor visits.
• Familiarity with vendor onboarding systems, commission/contract structures, and basic regulatory requirements (e.g., permits, licensing).
• Self-starter who is result- oriented and can work independently and manage multiple territories/accounts simultaneously.
