In the position of the Area Sales Manager for UK and Ireland you will be accountable for overall sales and technical services for all Distribution Brands for Automotive Finishes UK.

  • 5+ Years’ experience working in the Automotive VR market or aftermarket.

  • Accountable for overall sales and technical services activities for all Distribution Brands for Automotive Finishes UK

  • Sales budget of Cira €29,000,000

  • Responsibilities include integrating comprehensive sales, business strategies, managing relationships with customers and internal staff and ensuring financial and operational goals are met within the region.

  • Development the U.K. Tier 2 distribution account portfolio and the relationships we own between them, us and their end users.

  • This is a key customer facing role and will require daily interactions with business partners, attending distribution sales meetings, presenting to large groups, independents, general refinish market, following-up on contacts and sales actions, attending industry events and networking within the industry and business segments.

  • Management of the distribution sales team as required within the structure including training, evaluating performance, workload management and people development.

  • In conjunction with the region team this role will drive the strategic sales focus of the wider Automotive UK business.

  • Daily interaction with the UK BDM’s, Technical Team Leader and Sales Support Analyst will be critical to the growth of the business and segment.

  • Reporting into the North Europe Sales Director the role will support the overall U.K. & Ireland business strategy including OEM programmes, MSO’s Work Provision deals etc and new scheme installations and indirect sign off/approvals.

  • Accountable for the provision of weekly/monthly forecasts, regional updates, competitor analysis and business development linked to the overall business strategy.

  • Working closely with the SSA to study data to address gaps and segments in distribution market accounts against business growth targets.

  • Leading by example and acting as an ambassador of Sherwin-Williams core values and standards.

  • A critical customer facing role on a regional level.
