About the Role
Do you want to play a key role in the project development, construction and modification of technical facilities for the production of green sustainable biogas?
You will be part of the Construction business area, in the Permitting and Project Leadership department. The Business area Construction has overall responsibility for obtaining all necessary technical, environmental and zoning approvals, tendering and contracting, project management of the construction phase, and commissioning of large-scale industrial biogas plants.
As the Permitting Specialist, your primary role will be to support project maturation with regulatory expertise and knowledge. You will be responsible for permitting work towards receiving needed authority approvals for Green Field Projects as well as Asset Improvements Projects on existing biogas facilities in Denmark and abroad. You will therefore be at the forefront of the company's growth plans and support investigating of local market regulatory requirements in connection with the establishment and modification of biogas plants.
Responsibilities
- Support the scoping of projects with regulatory and permitting knowledge and expertise in Denmark and in other countries
- Lead the project management for permitting work on Greenfield projects and Asset Improvements Projects on existing biogas plants
- Act as center of expertise for knowledge on permitting process and regulatory approvals
- Lead the development of regulatory and permitting expertise in new countries in collaboration with local environmental consultant experts
- Manage external stakeholders during the permitting processes, such as authorities and communities
- Participate in knowledge sharing and experience gathering across the organization
Work Environment
Your workplace will be either at our head office in Odense or our branch office in Aarhus (if you choose to be based in Aarhus, you will be required to work from the Odense head office on a weekly basis). You will collaborate closely with the other business areas consisting of business developers, operations managers, engineers, biochemists, agronomists, lawyers and economists. You will be part of the Construction business area and work closely with the department's other dedicated employees in construction, chemical and environmental engineering.
Qualifications
- Technical education as an engineer or similar in environment, construction, machinery, chemistry or energy sector
- Ability to familiarize yourself quickly within new technical areas
- Up to 3 years of experience within technical project management, preferably from a consulting engineering firm
- Experience with environmental assessment and regulatory approvals in Denmark and abroad
- Ambitious and dedicated individual with great personal drive to continuously deliver at a high level
- Desire to learn new interdisciplinary knowledge
- Fluent in both Danish and English
- Motivated to achieving the goals set for you, so that a "win-win" is achieved for all parties
