About the Role

Shell Mobility is looking for a Customer Insights & Market Research Intern to support strategic projects that influence real commercial decisions across Malaysia. In this role, you will work closely with external research agencies and cross‑functional teams—including Commercial, Marketing, Customer Operations, and Analytics—to deliver insights that shape customer segmentation, propositions, and go‑to‑market strategies.

This internship is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with a global brand while contributing to high‑impact projects in the fast‑evolving mobility and energy space.

What's the role?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support end‑to‑end market research projects, including survey design, data analysis, and insight development.

• Work with external research partners to manage timelines, deliverables, and quality.

• Analyze customer data to uncover behaviors, motivations, and trends.

• Translate research findings into clear recommendations for commercial and marketing teams.

• Assist in developing customer segmentation and value propositions.

• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.

• Collaborate with diverse internal teams to support customer‑centric strategies.

What we need from you?

• Students currently pursuing a degree in:

• Business, Marketing, Economics

• Data/Business Analytics

• Psychology, Social Sciences

• Or any related discipline

• Minimum CGPA 3.0 and above

• Students available to start in April with a six‑month internship commitment are highly preferred.We’re seeking individuals who are:

• Curious and analytical with a passion for understanding customers

• Able to work with data and derive meaningful insights

• Comfortable collaborating across teams and functions

• Good communicators with a knack for storytelling

• Eager to learn, proactive, and excited about new challenges

Skills & Tools You’ll Use

• Basic knowledge of Excel,PowerPoint/Google Slides

• Familiarity with data visualization tools e.g., Power BI is a plus

• Interest in market research methodologies and tools
