We are seeking a Staff UI Engineer with solid experience and skills in both UI coding and UX design. As a staff-level contributor, you will provide coding and design solutions for the most complex areas of product development, and provide leadership and direction for the rest of the team. You’ll explore and evangelize best practices in areas of testing, AI coding enablement, responsiveness, performance, security, accessibility, and beyond. This role requires a high degree of creativity, flexibility and ownership. To be successful in this role you must be comfortable interpreting very high level requirements and responding to a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities ::

  • Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional, high-performance code.

  • Help debug and resolve the most complex technical problems, sharing techniques to empower others to take ownership going forward.

  • Contribute to design discussions, bringing a strong perspective of both UI engineering and UX design.

  • Leverage AI tools for increasing productivity and quality across the team’s activities.

  • Implement and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries.

  • Participate in user testing and apply findings.

  • Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility, maintaining strong performance and visual consistency.

  • Engage in continuous learning, exploring and sharing the latest in UI, UX, AI, testing, security, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, design, human-computer interaction, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in UI development.

  • Demonstrated experience and skill designing and building user interfaces with a strong UX foundation.

  • Experience using AI tools to increase productivity.

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end frameworks.

  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and responsive design best practices.

  • Strong skills of collaboration and communication across the organization.

  • Knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and performance optimization.

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Understanding of software quality principles.
