Service Now is seeking a leader for the Enterprise Architecture Function in EMEA to join our Team. The Enterprise Architecture Team is part of our pre-sales organization focused on building credibility and trust with the technical leaders in our largest customers by developing cross-functional strategies to drive value and transformation from AI+Data+Workflow. Our EA’s bring technical expertise, real-world experience, strong executive engagement skills and an inspirational mindset to help our customers understand the opportunities of the “AI platform for Business Transformation” vision. We act as technical leaders for our customers' most complex solutions, designed to ensure that they can realize the value they need. We do this by leveraging best practice and industry standards to build customer trust and architect for best-in-class solutions.

While collaborating with customers, partners, and the wider Service Now sales team, the right candidate will collaborate with the Sales and Solution Consulting leaders to ensure that the team is deployed into the accounts and opportunities where they can have the most impact now and in the future. The Enterprise Architecture Senior Director will also lead and participate in the delivery of workshops, best practice overviews, and educational sessions to existing customers and partners while providing guidance, coaching and quality assurance for the team itself.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Lead a team of motivated, innovative and collaborative pre-sales Enterprise Architects across the EMEA landscape as they engage with our customers to find new ways to create value at scale - fostering agility and resilience to navigate change as Service Now continues to grow.

  • Lead a team of four Regional Directors to help them develop their leadership and collaboration skills as they support their teams and build essential collaboration networks in their Major Areas

  • Constantly collaborate with Sales and Solution Leaders across EMEA to ensure that the team’s value proposition is clearly understood, constantly evolving and continues to add incremental value as the organization evolves.

  • Engage with customer executives to identify pain points and opportunities to deliver value and then translate them into solutions from Service Now

  • Understand the business strategy of the customer and articulate how Service Now can enable and deliver value to their organization, seamlessly integrating into their current and future technology landscape

  • Lead architecture and design engagements to demonstrate how Service Now meets the needs of strategic customers, including IT Transformation, Digital Products/Services, Platform as a Service, Enterprise Service Management, and the co-creation of industry specific solutions.

  • Leverage the immediate and extended Enterprise Architecture team as a force multiplier, engaging effectively across multiple levels (Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs) throughout the customer journey to drive alignment and impact.

  • Work closely with Service Now’s strategic partners to co-create and position joint value propositions based on Service Now’s unique differentiators, ensuring our solutions remain relevant and impactful in the marketplace.

  • Understand the detail behind the Service Now and platform architecture and communicate it at various levels

  • Ensure the team work with our architecture development methods (Guided Architecture and LEAP), modelling approaches and architecture patterns for integration

Provide thought leadership and collaborate with internal Service Now business units

Motivate the team to lead and contribute to the creation of best practices, white papers, workshops, etc. and market those both internally and externally to Service Now.

  • Successfully led diverse teams at the second-line level to reach challenging goals and can leverage organizational networks to get things done. Be Hungry and Humble.
  • The ability to multiply the effect of a team through situational leadership, constant challenge and a team-first mindset
  • 15 or more years of proven success in influencing senior technology leaders to drive change in a pre-sales, customer, or delivery focused role.
  • Passion and energy for building business relationships and is accustomed to driving the simplification of complex concepts into compelling customer proposals
  • Drive for results using out-of-the-box innovative thinking together with excellent problem-solving skills
  • An intrinsic ability to understand and prioritize work and is willing to make big bets when the time is right, to invest time and energy in the right areas.
  • A willingness to jump-in and roll-up their sleeves alongside customers, colleagues and partners to get things done faster and better.
  • A track record of success in using Human Centered Design techniques to explore the customers' current reality and set a vision for the future.
  • Awareness of the common Enterprise and Industry Architecture frameworks such as: TOGAF, Zachman, IT4IT, BIAN, TMForum, etc.
  • Intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions
  • Experience presenting architecture concepts, designs, and goals to technology leaders and partners
