Service Now seeks a highly skilled Technical Consultant to lead the implementation and provide ongoing technical assistance for the data.world data catalog solution. This role is pivotal in helping our clients across diverse industries harness the power of a knowledge graph-based enterprise data catalog, supporting their data governance initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy data.world data catalog solutions tailored to client environments and business needs.
- Provide hands-on technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to post-implementation assistance.
- Advise clients on best practices for enterprise data cataloging, metadata management, and knowledge graph utilisation.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders—including business users, data stewards, and technical teams—to ensure solution alignment with organisational data governance strategies.
- Deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions to empower client teams of varying technical backgrounds.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers.
- Stay current with advancements in data catalog, metadata management, and knowledge graph technologies to continually enhance solution offerings.
To be successful in the role, you have:
- Technical Acumen: Proficiency in knowledge graph concepts, semantic technologies, and enterprise data catalog platforms (preferably data.world or similar).
- Data Governance Expertise: Solid understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, and data stewardship.
- Solution Design: Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly data catalog architectures for enterprise environments.
- Configuration & Integration: Ability to configure data catalog tools, integrate with diverse data sources (databases, cloud platforms, BI tools).
- Customer Engagement: Exceptional communication skills to interact with customers from various industries and technical backgrounds, including explaining complex data concepts in accessible terms.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience conducting user training sessions and creating technical documentation for audiences with varying familiarity with data catalogs and governance.
- Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with data.world or similar enterprise data catalog platforms.
- Familiarity with graph databases, ontologies, and semantic web standards (e.g., RDF, SPARQL).
- Experience working with enterprise customers in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector, etc.).
- Certifications in data governance, data management, or related domains are a plus.
