What you get to do in this role:
- Partner with the Data Analytics Leader in collaboration with the Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk and SOX leaders to design and execute the data analytics strategy and roadmap, helping build and scale the program from the ground up.
- Build scalable analytical frameworks to detect anomalies, identify risk indicators, surface process inefficiencies, and flag policy violations and potential fraud across the organization. Scope includes data preparation, validation, visualization, documentation, and presentation of results.
- Develop interactive data visualizations and executive dashboards in Power BI that translate complex datasets into compelling, actionable narratives for audit teams and business stakeholders.
- Drive the evaluation and adoption of AI and automation within Analytics including use cases for continuous risk monitoring, predictive analytics, agent orchestration, and intelligent workflow automation across the audit lifecycle.
- Architect and maintain curated datasets, reusable views, and pre-built audit universes—that reduce discovery time and enable repeatable analytics across engagements.
- Partner with cross-functional data teams, Business Intelligence, and business unit stakeholders to navigate siloed data environments, understand data lineage, and establish efficient data access pathways for audit analytics.
- Contribute to the development of the Internal Audit data map, cataloging enterprise data sources and visualizing coverage to inform risk-based audit planning and prioritization.
- Provide a perspective on approach, technology, and innovation to challenge the current way of thinking and help the audit function build analytics capabilities that leverage emerging technologies and scale with organizational growth
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- Minimum 12+ years of industry experience including 5+ years delivering data analytics, insights, and reporting in support of internal audit, risk management, compliance, or related governance functions.
- Expert knowledge of database technologies with deep proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience working within cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Deep experience in data visualization and reporting using Power BI or similar tools, with a demonstrated ability to build dashboards that drive decision-making.
- Strong ability to work with heterogeneous and siloed datasets across enterprise environments, including unstructured data sources. Familiarity with data quality frameworks, data lineage, and data governance practices is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present complex analytical findings to senior management. Ability to operate independently, challenge prevailing opinions constructively, and manage multiple concurrent engagements.
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into analytics work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes using AI-powered tools, enabling AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on audit, risk, and analytics functions.
- Experience in a Big 4 firm’s data management, advisory, or audit analytics practice is a plus. Certifications in data science, analytics, or audit (CIA, CISA, CPA) are a plus.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related analytical field.
