What you get to do in this role:

  • Serve as the first-line supervisor/team lead to the team and to the stakeholders.
  • Provide primary day-to-day support to the team manager and the team members, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, fluxes, analytics, audit deliverables etc.
  • Project manage various close activities and deliverables, including monitoring of timelines to support the team manager in driving effective and efficient accounting close.
  • Form strong cross-fuctional partnerships with business teams, tax, legal / Stock Administration, FP&A, statutory reporting and various other finance teams
  • Implement, and maintain effective global accounting policies, processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Drive efficiency, effectiveness, consistency, and scalability within accounting processes by identifying and implementing various opportunities within the process.
  • Participate and lead various projects including those driving automation and cross-functional projects.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to provide timely deliverables and streamline annual audit processes and testing approaches
  • Partner with a distributed workforce, including individuals in the U.S. and international region.

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • Combined experience of 7 to 10 years in accounting field.
  • Experience in capital & infrastructure accounting or compensation & benefits accounting and/or in GCC models (or similar) roles will be preferred.
  • A qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA with people management experience of 2-3 years will be preferred.
  • Experience with SAP (or other large ERP system) and Blackline is strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a high performing team in a collaborative and complex environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take initiative in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate accounting requirements/results to both accounting and non-accounting customers at various levels of the organization
