Scopely is looking for an Analyst to join our Market Strategy team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis, working 2 days a week from the hub.
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
Market Strategy helps inform decisions around our corporate and product strategy. We track industry trends and identify opportunities for growth across Scopely’s portfolio!
What You Will Do
As an Analyst, you’ll use data and research to understand the gaming landscape, highlight emerging market trends, and support teams across Scopely with actionable insights. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across our game teams, central functions, and leadership to help shape our understanding of where the market is heading and where we should go next. Success looks like turning sparse or ambiguous data into a clear, high-conviction point of view, prioritizing precision and decision impact over volume of analysis, to help shape and support Scopely’s strategy.
-
Support the production of regular and ad-hoc reports on mobile and gaming market trends
-
Analyze competitive landscapes to identify potential opportunities and threats
-
Track and summarize key developments in mobile gaming, including new genres, regions, and business models
-
Partner with internal teams (e.g., Corporate Development, Product Strategy) to deliver clear and actionable insights
-
Contribute to strategic projects or deep-dive analyses as needed
-
Stay current with the latest games and industry developments — and play plenty of games yourself!
What We’re Looking For
-
1–2 years of experience in strategy, consulting, market research, or a related analytical role
-
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
-
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable working with data and building structured analyses. Experience with Looker is a plus
-
Instinct to quantify hard questions and a habit of tracking global and local trends; converts weak signals into testable market hypotheses
-
Finds smart, creative ways to generate decision-grade insights from limited or noisy inputs, triangulating sources, inventing proxies, and experimenting with new methodologies
-
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex topics for different audiences
-
Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
-
Fluent English language skills
Bonus Points
- Interest in gaming and curiosity about the global games industry
Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that! We are committed to creating a diverse, supportive work environment where everyone is treated with respect. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join us & embrace the adventure!
