Scopely is looking for a Game Analyst to join our Product Strategy team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis working 2 days a week from the hub or on a remote basis from Spain!

The Product Strategy team’s mission is to support Scopely’s business in achieving best-in-class performance by providing actionable insights stemming from a deep understanding of competitors.
What You Will Do:

Perform comprehensive analyses and product teardowns of competitor games, surfacing insights about established and newly released games in the relevant genres

Compile reports on key market trends, game mechanics/economy innovations, competitors’ soft/hard launches and high-potential features on a regular basis
-
Regularly play the main competitor games in the genre and keep constantly updated on the market, especially new launches and gameplay / monetization innovations

Liaise with the Strategic Analytics team: make sure that choices of data sources, models and dashboards serve the purposes of Product Strategy in an optimal way
What We’re Looking For:
-
You have previous professional experience in gaming (esp. in Product / Game design positions) OR a deep understanding as a gamer of the following types of games:
-
Mobile casual (required): Candy Crush Saga, Royal Match, Coin Master, Monopoly Go, Gossip Harbor, Homescapes or similar
-
PC / Console (optional): especially Action-Adventure and Simulation games
-
You have outstanding analytical skills. You know how to break down complex problems into clear tasks, and are comfortable drawing meaningful insights from both qualitative and quantitative data
-
You have investigative skills and know how to combine information from a wide variety of sources in order to draw conclusions and insights
-
You have business acumen
-
You easily grasp game systems (e.g. features, economies, live ops strategies) and you can critically evaluate their strengths and weaknesses
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, Game / Product Design, or a related field

2-4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics, Market Research, Data Science, Design, Strategy, Finance, Consulting with high proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools

A genuine passion for gaming, especially casual games
