The Sustainability Business (SB) is a global division with the mission to bring all Schneider Electric acts together to provide unprecedent, end-to-end support to our customers to achieve their sustainable transformations - from formulating climate strategy to execution & deployment of sustainability offers.
The Cleantech & Strategy Manager will join a global team of experienced professionals in advising and supporting the world’s largest companies in all areas of renewable energy strategy and procurement, including Power Purchase Agreements and Environmental Commodity procurement.
This role will involve leading the client delivery aspects of Cleantech/Renewable advisory activities in Southeast Asia to industrial and commercial clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with key solution providers in the renewable energy industry in the region.
Your responsibilities Be an expert in the energy industry of southeast Asia and east Asia region with a special focus on clean energy technologies.
As a delivery manager, provide support to client management/commercial team in leading clients through advisory processes in order to deliver the high-quality services our clients expect.
Build customized and bespoke strategies for clients looking to procure clean energy as part of their sustainability journeys.
Develop very good relationship with the providers of renewable/clean energy in the region and understand their offerings.
Act as a master negotiator and bring to the table better than standard clean energy offers (PPAs) for our clients Be a model and mentor for the junior staff and build their capacity around clean energy industry in the region and set up the processes for a quality delivery to clients meeting their needs.
Partner with relevant teams such as Sustainability Consulting, Energy Procurement, Microgrid, Efficiency and others to understand energy management and carbon reducing solutions available at SE for clients.
Minimum requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related technical field with 7+ years of related professional experience in APAC power and renewable energy markets Proven experience in consulting delivery with extraordinary modeling and analytical skills
Experience: in managing a team of young professionals and ability to lead them as a mentor Very good presentation skills both in developing client facing materials and delivering in person and on-line presentations Prior experience in implementing renewable energy procurement strategy and contract execution in renewables Should be able to thrive working in a team and exhibit positive energy while working in a large team and believe in collaboration Preferred requirements Strong negotiation skills and interpersonal persuasiveness Organizational skills with experience managing data will be highly valued Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly proficient in a Microsoft Office environment (i.e.
