Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Automation Controls Engineer at our Lexington, KY location.

What will you do?

Create automated equipment/machine specifications which includes end of line test equipment.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to design and deploy assembly lines, including automated and testing equipment.

Develop, deploy, and debug PLC and HMI programs for automated equipment.

Integrate machines and assembly lines into the plants’ digital manufacturing execution systems.

Integrate new technologies into existing manufacturing assembly lines for improving efficiency and quality robustness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new hardware and software solutions.

Who will you report to?

Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Computer, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is required.

Strong electrical, controls and system integration knowledge.

Proficiency in Schneider Electric PLC programming, including: Proworx (Quantum), Control Expert (M340 and M580 platforms) Familiarity with Schneider VFDs.

Robotics experience with Yaskawa Motoman robots, 5+ years of experience in automation industry, including experience in the medium to high-speed metal stamping process is preferred.

Strong working knowledge of SmartPAC Pro systems from Wintriss, preferred.

Technical installation and troubleshooting skills for the WPC 2000 control board.

Ability to read and create AutoCAD drawings We know skills and competencies show up in many ways and can be based on your life experience.
