**Are you passionate about combining technical expertise with commercial insight?**Schneider Electric is looking for a Tender Engineer to join our team and prepare competitive, technically accurate offers for **Variable Speed Drive (VSD)**and Process Automation solutions.
Your mission: As a Tender Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing customer specifications for Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and process automation applications. You will prepare technical and commercial proposals that align with company standards and profitabilit y targets, while collaborating closely with the sales teams to define scope, pricing, and delivery conditions.
Your key responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise:
Select and size VSDs, automation controllers (PLC/DCS), and related components.
Design and validate process automation architectures, including control loops, instrumentation, and SCADA integration.
Ensure compliance with standards, cybersecurity, and eco-design principles.
- Coordination:
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management for accurate cost estimation and planning.
Support customer queries and provide technical clarifications during the tender phase.
- Innovation:
Stay updated on VSD technologies, automation trends, and digital tools.
Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- Fluent in Dutch or French, plus English, with knowledge of the other national language.
- Strong knowledge of Variable Speed Drive and Process Automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and prepare detailed proposals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and tendering tools.
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric VSD and automation portfolio is a plus.
