The Fabrication Manager is a key member of our leadership team and is responsible for driving our fabrication operations toward world‑class performance.
This role oversees the continuous improvement of multiple processes; including stamping, plating, tool & die, and other sheet metal and copper fabrication.
Strong leadership, effective capacity planning, and the development of our Supervisory team are essential for success in this position.
The ideal candidate will be a highly effective leader who can influence, communicate, and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
The ability to operate proactively, adapt to a dynamic environment, and model strong leadership qualities is essential.
What Will You Do?
Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Lead the Fabrication team to achieve world‑class Safety, Quality, Service, and Productivity.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to solve complex process challenges with practical, effective solutions.
Coach and develop team members to improve analytical skills and promote first‑pass issue resolution.
Identify constraints that impact plant performance and collaborate to develop and implement corrective actions.
Ensure capacity planning aligns with current and future growth needs.
Drive year‑over‑year cost reductions (DVC and MBC) through productivity and sustainability initiatives.
Mentor team members and support long‑term career development.
What qualifications will make you successful in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Prior experience in metal fabrication and molding, with strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and root cause analysis.
Proven ability to lead process and culture change within a mature organization.
Demonstrated leadership capability, with strength in collaboration and influence.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and work-streams simultaneously.
Significant experience with business and manufacturing systems such as SAP, Access/SQL databases, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop strategic corrective action plans.
Ability to identify waste and drive improvement across complex manufacturing processes.
