Job Description: Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer Position Summary The Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality excellence across manufacturing processes, ensuring products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
This role leads root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce defects, optimize processes, and strengthen quality systems.
The Senior MQE also mentors junior engineers and plays a key role in operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and improve in-process quality performance, yield, and defect trends.

Develop and maintain process control plans, inspection methods, and quality standards.

Lead containment actions, corrective actions (CAPA), and preventive measures.

Facilitate structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA).

Support and lead process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
-
Conduct internal audits and support customer and regulatory audits.
-
Lead Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma projects to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field).

5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering.

Strong understanding of quality tools: SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, DOE.
-
Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
-
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
-
Reduction in defect rates (DPPM, yield).
-
CAPA timeliness and effectiveness.
-
Process capability improvements (Cp/Cpk).
-
Audit performance and compliance.
-
Scrap reduction and CI savings.
