The Role: Project Tendering Technical Engineer What will you do?

  • Review customer requirements and request for quotes (RFQ)
  • Preparation of professional quotations in a timely manner from schematic diagrams and customer specifications.
  • Preparation of technically accurate quotations focused on Low Voltage (LV) Power Distribution solutions in accordance with project specifications and schematic diagrams.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by exceeding customer expectations regarding quotation delivery times, technical knowledge, and knowledge of industry requirements.
  • Maintain attention to detail and accuracy of technical solution
  • Identify appropriate Schneider technical solution
  • Use Schneider quoting tools to configure and price selected solution
  • Submit completed tender proposals to meet customer deadlines
  • Conduct tender follow-up and negotiations
  • Clear focus on improving customer satisfaction

Who would be successful?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have an accomplished background in understanding schematic and single line diagrams.
  • Proven experience in a Quotation, Estimation or Project Pricing role in a switchboard manufacturing company.
  • Relevant electrical trade/engineering and quotation preparation experience.
  • Possess a track record in delivering quotes involving MV / LV electrical distribution equipment.
  • Highly organized and systematic, able to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment, under pressure and minimum supervision.
  • Able to multi-task effectively, highly organized, with good planning and prioritization system.
  • Keen attention to details, high commitment to quality output
  • Team-oriented; proactive to help and care for the other members of the team
