This position is for GIGA Labs management position, part of I&T, EMCTO, leading a team of approximately 60+ employees . The team specializes in Prototyping, Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, Environmental , EMC verification testing at our labs at Bangalore. The team is responsible for V&V certification testing, surveillance testing ensuring that all Schneider Electric products offered to market meet all regulatory requirements and are of the highest quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of ~60 employees.
- Ensure efficient lab operations, safety compliance, and work prioritization.
- Collaborate with project test leaders to build a future-ready R&D roadmap.
- Maintain high standards of quality and manage accreditations (UL, SEMKO, DEKRA, NABL, BIS).
- Connect with global labs to elevate capabilities and share best practices.
- Drive sustainability initiatives towards a Net Zero Lab.
- Strategize team competencies and infrastructure aligned with Schneider Electric's focus.
- Partner with cross-functional teams: design, offer marketing, manufacturing, and standardization.
- Champion 5S, Kaizen, productivity, and automation initiatives.
- Lead the digital transformation of lab operations and testing.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure safe and compliant lab operations at all times.
Qualifications
- BTech/MTech with Extensive experience in technical leadership roles Highly developed influence skills
- Proven experience in negotiating complex organizations Strong electrical and electronics engineering background
- Diverse technical background (design, manufacturing, field, operations, lab) Demonstrated experience in a laboratory environment
- Proven experience in standards interpretation and development of determinations Digital leadership
