We are looking for highly motivated employees to join our Smart Grid Applications and Operations team for the position of Smart Grid Engineer.

We are looking for a Smart Grid Engineer to make an impact!

As a Smart Grid Engineer in Grid Operations Support Centre of Excellence organization, you will help our clients run their business smoothly and in the most efficient, reliable and sustainable way by using our ADMS software solution (Advanced Distribution Management System). You will work on activities such as software enhancements design, incidents triage and troubleshooting, system updates verification and delivery, providing different consultancy services, and a variety of other activities required by our customer's or company's internal needs. Your domain expertise will be primarily focused on the operational and functional use of ADMS, including Outage Management Systems, Switching Management, DERMS, and various DMS and EMS applications.

What wil you do:

  • Technical role in the support organization
  • Participates in ADMS system update process as a technical lead
  • Reviews available technical project documentation in the project handover process to support & maintenance phase
  • Responds quickly and professionally to defects or technical questions reported by customers
  • Accountable for software enhancements design requested by customers
  • Fixes issues on production systems
  • Provides consultancy and other additional services, acting as a trusted advisor for our clients
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with colleagues across the organization, regional support centers and customers

What will make you successful:

  • University education in Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge about electrical power engineering - distribution and transmission grids, grid operations, distributed energy resources, etc.
  • Experience in working at/with electric distribution utilities is considered a plus
  • Experience with working with complex software solutions or experience in software testing is desirable
  • Problem-solving mindset and critical thinking skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Other languages (most preferably, but not limited to, German, Spanish, French) would be treated as a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyze and explain technical issues to lay audiences
  • Team player with experience in cross-team collaboration to ensure successful delivery of solutions and services
  • Ability to adapt to a different clients and cultural environments
  • Passion for learning and continuous improvement
