Your Mission The role is part of the Central Procurement organisation within the Europe region, and is based in Budapest, in our Global Supply Chain Hub.

The role will manage the relationship between Schneider Electric & the suppliers.

The Category Buyer acts as the main SPOC of the suppliers under his/her responsibility, leading business continuity, driving strategy, supplier base development and optimisation, and enhancing digital and sustainable capabilities with the suppliers and their supply chain.

What is the purpose of the Category Buyer role in the Schneider Electric ETO (Engineering to Order) organisation?

This role has the key interface with the plant covering procurement activities and suppliers’ management: Interface with the category manager to collect ETO specifications, specify the qualification criteria and contribute to the segmentation of the strategy Contribute and implement the strategy (SOC) in the cluster perimeter Taking the category strategies into account, you will build & drive the category APOP (Annual Procurement Operational Plan) validated by Global Category & Plant.

By cooperating with the Global category & SLD and quality team, you will build the supplier development plan and support its deployment from the supplier side Negotiate global frame agreements with suppliers Initiate and drive breakthrough (make or buy, rebalancing, SBO, innovation…) on the category incl. following the advancement Develop supplier competitiveness and assess the quality level.

React to deviations.

Ensure supplier readiness, supplier capacity to deliver on G ETO growth Organize lesson learnt per category (multi-supplier approach).

Secure Supplier competitiveness and upstream readiness on the category perimeter and the performance on the negotiation lever Improve DTDD – DPO with suppliers to drive Cash Create, manage and track all productivity actions in a dedicated tool (i Save) Raise and address “cluster” supplier quality of service and business continuity Business Continuity first level for escalation Support PPM and Group Manager on SRM strategy (Sponsorship, C2P, Business review) Supplier base next generation, supplier selection connected with Category Strategy Coordination with Customer Project Buyers on key projects and opportunities, supporting cost competitiveness to win the business profitably The Category Buyer is a key role in our organisation.

About You:

A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain from a leading institution with excellent academic credentials is preferred.

Min 3 years’ experience in Procurement Management with the following skills: capable of defining strategy, animating a team, convincing and influencing the stakeholders.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Be able to navigate in a complex environment and organisation, connect with people and create strong networking Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to convince & influence a large network of internal/external stakeholders.
