This position joins the Power Systems North America- Engineering Data Industrialization Team. The team focuses on utilizing the end to end data created during a Power Systems Equipment Project to enhance quality, productivity, and capacity in the Power Systems Engineering and Production processes.
This role will support our Automated Test initiative focused on validating the factory wiring of electrical switchgear. The role will analyze schematics and generate documentation required to program automated test benches. The role will validate the test plans and configuration of automated test benches on initial builds of each customer design.
What will you do:
- Review drawings and provide guidance to electrical engineers on meeting Design For Test requirements.
- Generate documentation and data required for automated test of each customer design.
- Hands on validation of the test plan and programming of automated tester for each customer design.
- Work with 120VAC / 125VDC following proper safety procedures and utilizing correct PPE.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the design for test activity
- Collaborate with software development team on tools and solutions to enable automated analysis of schematics and automated test plan creation.
- Domestic and International travel up to 30%.
What will make you successful:
- Strong technical background with proven experience in engineering sales or application engineering
- Deep understanding of system architectures, best practices, and industry standards
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical solutions
- Outstanding communication abilities to effectively present technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Track record of building strong customer relationships through technical consultation
- BS in electrical engineering
- Aptitude and ability to succeed in a manufacturing environment
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis. The company does not provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to go on-site to the El Paso location on a hybrid schedule
