The Opportunity:

Schneider Electric's Digital Energy business is leading the way in helping customers maximize energy efficiency and sustainability.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Management System (BMS) Service Technician to join our team in Sydney.

Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, you'll act as a technical partner to our customers across a variety of commercial buildings, with a strong focus on Commercial Buildings in Sydney If you're passionate about smart building technology,energy efficiency, and delivering exceptional service, this role is for you!

What You'll Do:

  • Install, maintain, and repair BMS equipment including controllers, sensors, actuators, and networking devices.
  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolve technical issues related to BMS operation.
  • Program and configure BMS systems to meet project requirements and ensure optimal building performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate BMS into building automation projects.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on BMS operation and maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections and performance assessments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Document service activities including maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment records.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols during installations and maintenance.
  • Deliver excellent service within budget and time constraints.
  • Participate in on-call duties (allowance and overtime apply).

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong technical skills in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Experience with fault-finding, networking hardware (routers, switches), and IT systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around electrical equipment.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
