What you’ll build:

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

• Build and operate next-generation applications on different platforms (SAP Cloud Platform, SAP CRM, SAP ERP, Service Now).

• Write/maintain high quality and robust programming code: JS, SAPUI5, SAP HANA, CDS and so on and fully engage in high build-in quality journey.

• Work on a fast-paced, rapidly growing, high-profile project.

• Devise innovative ideas for solving customer problems and translate these ideas into technical designs.

What You’ll bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning:

EDUCATION:

• Full-time degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Science or a related discipline

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

• Currently enrolled in university as full-time student

• Commitment of 3+ days per week for 6 months internship onsite

• Bachelor or above in software engineering, computer science or comparable with programming experience

• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages

• Strong problem solving, analytical and debugging skills

• Very good teamwork characteristic

• Fluent in oral and written English

• Willingness to continuously learn both new technologies and business processes

• Experience or knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a big plus

• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools is a big plus

Corporate Process and Information Technology (CPIT) is responsible for managing the digital transformation at SAP. The focus of CPIT is on business process simplification, product and services quality, portfolio strategy, and value achievement through digital innovation adoption to the best of our employees and customers.

Under CPIT, the Customer Service Management department focuses on Harmonized Customer Service Management by delivering the necessary solutions, technologies and innovations to create business value, enable new business models (ITSM, ITOM etc.) to bring our customer excellent experience and drive our #Run Simple transformation all based on rock-solid services.

As a application engineer, you have some experience or knowledge of Agile Software Engineering practices and Scrum, as well as technologies like JAVASCRIPT, SAP UI5, ABAP, CRM, etc. And you are interested in applying your knowledge and skill to continuously improve SAP’s customer experience.
